The Aerolympics 2024 at the Asian International School of Aeronautics and Technology (AISAT) was a celebration of talent, teamwork, and creativity held from November 11 to 15, 2024. With the electrifying theme “Chase the Beat, Conquer the Game,” the event seamlessly blended athletic competition with the vibrant energy of music and art. The five-day event provided students with the opportunity to showcase their talents not only in sports but also in creative and intellectual challenges. At the end of the week, the Green Ospreys emerged as the overall champions, with a total of 2,260 points, narrowly surpassing the Blue Warthogs (1,970 points), Red Nighthawks (1,650 points), and Orange Apaches (1,530 points).
A Fusion of Creativity and Athletics
This year’s Aerolympics was unlike any other, combining the spirit of two cherished past events—Aisatunggalian and Pasundayag—to create a competition that tested students in both athletic and artistic fields. The theme, “Chase the Beat, Conquer the Game,” was an invitation for students to compete physically and express themselves creatively through music, art, and performance. This fusion of athleticism and the arts allowed for various competitions, from traditional sports like badminton and basketball to creative endeavors like essay writing, poster making, and even e-sports. The event truly highlighted the versatility and talents of AISAT students.
The competition was divided into various categories: visual arts, writing, performance, and physical sports. Teams were assigned to one of four groups—Green Ospreys, Blue Warthogs, Red Nighthawks, and Orange Apaches—and their success in each event contributed to their overall points tally. The Green Ospreys proved exceptionally well-rounded, excelling in both creative and athletic challenges, ultimately leading them to their victory.
Creative Excellence
The creative categories played a pivotal role in determining the overall champion. The Green Ospreys dominated several intellectual and artistic contests. In Essay Writing, they claimed first place, displaying high critical thinking and writing skills. Similarly, they took top honors in Word Factory and Scrabble, demonstrating their athletic abilities and intellectual versatility.
Other creative categories included Poster Making, Film Making, Banner Making, and Team Mascots. In these events, each team showcased their artistic expression and school spirit. The Green Ospreys placed consistently well, securing points in events like Banner Making, while Blue Warthogs took first place in Poster Making, demonstrating their strong visual creativity. In addition, the Battle of the Bands and Rap Contest were particularly popular, with the Green Ospreys winning and securing the top spot in the Rap Contest. These musical competitions highlighted the students’ ability to blend creativity with energy, staying true to the event’s theme.
Athletic Prowess
Of course, athletic competition was at the heart of Aerolympics 2024. The sports events tested the students’ physical endurance and teamwork across various disciplines. Some of the highlights were Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, Sepak Takraw, and the newly introduced Motorshow. The Green Ospreys excelled in many of these events, earning crucial points in badminton and volleyball. Their success was particularly evident in the Supermixed Badminton category, where they secured top positions.
The Basketball competition was particularly exciting, with the Women’s division seeing a thrilling tie between the Red Nighthawks and Orange Apaches. The Men’s division was equally competitive, with the Red Nighthawks claiming the top spot. The Green Ospreys finished strongly across multiple sports, and their versatility and team coordination are clearly evident. In the Volleyball Women’s competition, the Blue Warthogs took first place, but the Green Ospreys’ consistent performance across various events kept them in the race for the overall championship.
E-sports also played a significant role in the points tally. The Green Ospreys were especially dominant in games like Valorant and Call of Duty Mobile, securing first place in Call of Duty Mobile and second in Valorant. These digital competitions were an exciting addition to Aerolympics, and they allowed students to showcase their skills in popular online games while contributing significantly to their teams’ overall scores.

After five days of intense competition, the points tally was clear: the Green Ospreys had emerged as the champions of Aerolympics 2024 with 2,260 points, followed by the Blue Warthogs with 1,970 points, the Red Nighthawks with 1,650 points, and the Orange Apaches with 1,530 points.
