A part of AISAT’s mission is to establish and implement linkages in the industry and field of expertise locally and internationally. With this, AISAT welcomes new industry partners in the field of animation and technology, namely BT Animate, Next BPO Solutions, and DICT Region XI, during the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony on August 9, 2024, at the AISAT building with the theme “Charting a Path to Innovation: Celebrating the Partnership between AISAT and Industry Leaders in Animation and IT with BT Animate, Next BPO Solutions, and DICT Region XI”. The event was attended by ten key personnel consisting of representatives from BT Animate, Next BPO Solutions, and DICT Region XI; AISAT IDT faculty; AISAT IDT OIC, Ms. Kelly Ruth Serenio; Placement Officer, Ms. Pauline Marie Dumagan; School Registrar, Ms. Hazel Joy Barnes; School Administrator, Mr. Matty Joey Torres; and School President, Atty. Myra Ann Wee-Toe Hio.

One of AISAT’s offerings is the BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing major in Digital Animation Technology (BS EMC-DAT), which teaches students the application of the fundamental and advanced theories and techniques in 2D and 3D Animation use. Graduates of such program can work as a Technical Director, 2D or 3D Animator, or Creative Programmer. The MOA signing aims to partner with animation-related industries and provide promising opportunities for AISAT’s Institute of Design and Technology students within Davao City. Specifically, the event opens career pathways for AISAT’s EMC students, from their on-the-job training to future careers in the industry. The partnership also opens doors for future training to help EMC students in their classes and careers.

The first industry partner is BT Animate, which specializes in modeling, texturing, and animation services and has additional expertise in development and visual effects (VFX). BT Animate is looking for 3D animation artists, which is an ideal pathway for AISAT’s EMC students. The second industry partner is Next BPO Solutions, an outsourcing solutions provider that offers business process outsourcing, knowledge process outsourcing, recruitment process outsourcing, and business center setup. Next BPO Solutions seeks animators as they also provide app development, web design, and web development services. The third industry partner is the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region XI, AISAT’s government partner. The DICT is the government’s primary policy, planning, coordinating, implementing, and administrative entity that plans, develops, and promotes the national ICT development agenda.

Furthermore, when asked about her thoughts as IDT OIC, Ms. Kelly Ruth Serenio mentioned that AISAT’s IDT Department aims to target more industries to help even more EMC students. With a growing student population, AISAT’s BS EMC offering is highlighted during AISAT’s Career Guidance Orientation (CGO), wherein the career opportunities of EMC graduates are presented to various schools across Mindanao. At AISAT, we help you let your dreams take flight in aviation and digital animation technology. Soar high future, digital animators!
