Another school year has now come to an end. Another set of individuals ready to bid farewell to the institution that helped them get this far for their future careers and in life. A roller coaster ride that started with confusion and “what ifs”, and ended with “finally” and “this is it”. An educational experience that didn’t just help these students learn about their dream careers, but also made things clear about the life that they actually want. Four (4) years, some even spent six (6) years, and a few spent two (2) years to attain the completion of their studies and the beginning of their life journey as graduates and aspirants. No matter how long it took, no matter how hard it was, the fiery determination of such students helped them survive and finish this ride of passion and goals. A ride that went through a lot of twists and turns, a ride that experienced confusions and quakes, a ride of decisions and complications, yet a ride to completion and success. As the time draws near, it is time for these individuals to decide for themselves, whether they’ll thrust towards their dreams or just let their fears and worries drag them down.
After years of hovering dreams, it is now time to reach for the skies. To remember why you started this journey, and to remind yourself what you’re capable of. You are no longer the same person you once were when you started to take this path. You are ready, you just need to believe in yourself. Your dreams are waiting for you, and don’t let them just hover forever. It’s time for you to decide which course you will take. It may seem hard, but if you look back, you’ll realize how far you’ve come and how much you’ve achieved in life. A wonderful end to a chapter in your life, yet it’s also the beginning of another one. You may not receive recognition for your efforts or awards, but the most important thing is that you know that you did your best and no one can ever fake that. Awards can be motivational, but in the realities of life, what matters most is your determination to achieve your dreams in life in any possible and wise way of doing so. If you think about it, what’s the point of having numerous awards in school if you don’t even have the guts and strategies to make your dreams a reality? In this life, we must always look at the real side of things and never stay in a place that feels comfortable because it’s no longer a place to grow. Success comes with sacrifices and hardships, and it is up to you if you’re willing to take the risk to reach the skies or just let the opportunity slide and fall down the drain. A lot of opportunities will come by and it’s your decision whether or not to consider such offers. Opportunities that may be the key to unlocking your potential and the path to the life you want to have.
As you look back on the tracks and roads you’ve gone through, you will realize that you made it through despite all the challenges of life. May it be broken tracks, rocky roads, quicksand, and the like, you were able to get through all of those obstacles, and it is now time for you to take another step towards the new path waiting for you. It may be uncertain and unsure, but we create our destiny and stories. Only we can decide what will happen and how things will turn out if we’ll just remember why we started this. The years spent in school to learn and meet people will always be a part of our lives and journey, a part of our story that helped us grow and realize the important things in life and in this world. As we move forward, we will continue to meet new people and write new chapters of our lives. We’ll eventually discover talents and changes in our plans. Whatever the case may be, one thing is for sure, our goal of attaining success, whatever success means to us, will remain and will continue to push us forward until we’ll eventually be able to say: “At last!”
As graduates and aspirants, we’ve all come this far not just to be complacent and carefree, but to be motivated to continue pursuing our dreams. No matter what it takes and no matter how long it may take, always reach for the skies and never let thunderstorms and earthquakes shake you. No matter how hard it will be, you got this. Chase your dreams, reach for the skies, and let your dreams take flight.
