What is the new Strand Offering in AISAT?
Asian International School of Aeronautics and Technology (AISAT) will offer Science, Technology,Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Strand which is an educational program developed by the Department of Education to prepare Senior High School or Junior College students for college in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. In addition to subject-specific learning, STEM aims to foster inquiring minds, logical reasoning, and collaboration skills. Moreover, In AISAT’s STEM STRAND, the areas of Aviation and Computing in the colleges’ courses’ offerings are highly focused.
When will it be implemented in AISAT?
STEM Strand in AISAT will be offered starting this August 2019.
What special electives will it offer?
In AISAT’s STEM Strand Curricula, one of the STEM subject,“Introduction to Aviation Career and Safety” will be offered. In this introductory course, it is hoped that students will have an overview and eventually explore career potentials in the aviation industry.
Who will qualify in the STEM Strand in AISAT?
The enrollment under STEM Strand is open to Grade 10 completers who pass the AISAT EntranceExamination.Otherwise they will be advised to take GAS.
