On October 5, 2023, the Asian International School of Aeronautics and Technology (AISAT) observed World Teacher’s Day, dedicating the day to celebrating the contributions of its educators. Through a series of events and expressions of gratitude, the institution underscored the vital role teachers play in shaping the learning experience at AISAT. The day began with a vibrant assembly in the school’s Homitori Gym at 1 pm, where students eagerly welcomed their teachers to a series of games organized by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) under the guidance of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA).

The assembly started with Ma’am Celeste Wong Gaane of Lakbay Davao Travel introducing AISAT International Aviation Learning Journey, the Lakbay Aral where bonafide aviation enthusiasts were invited to an educational tour to Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya, Japan last December 2023. She was joined by Ms. Rizza G. Arnoza, a third-year student, and Ms. Mhal Trezza P. Rasucay, a first-year student of the Bachelor of Science in Aircraft Maintenance Technology. Followed by Atty. Myra Ann Wee-Toe Hio, the school’s president, delivered the inaugural address, setting the tone for the day.

In her speech, she underscored the crucial role teachers play in preparing students for future success in the aviation industry and beyond. Her words resonated with the audience, emphasizing the significance of acknowledging and appreciating the dedication of AISAT’s educators.

After the speech, the focus shifted to AISAT’s teachers, who showcased their artistic talents on stage, impressing the audience with their diverse skills. They demonstrated a musical performance, earning praise from attendees. Subsequently, AISAT students also took the stage, highlighting their talents in various artistic endeavors. Notably, the band ‘Nutriband’ delivered an energetic performance, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the event.

After the performances, the celebration transitioned to a series of engaging parlor games, fostering a lively atmosphere of friendly competition among the AISAT community. Faculty members and administrators engaged in spirited matchups such as the rope relay, pitting teams against each other in a test of agility and teamwork. Meanwhile, students enthusiastically joined in the fun, participating in games like backward pass the ball and milo-milo.

Adding to the entertainment, the dance group Aerosync took the stage and provided a captivating intermission performance. Following the entertainment, the excitement reached its peak with the eagerly awaited raffle draw, where lucky winners were rewarded for their participation and enthusiasm throughout the day.

The event concluded with closing remarks delivered by Engr. Aida M. Rosales, expressing gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement in the celebration. In her closing words, she emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration within the AISAT community, echoing the sentiment of appreciation for the dedication of educators. With a heartfelt nod to the significance of the day, she concluded, “Thank the Lord. Without Him, nothing is possible. Happy Teacher’s Day everyone.
