February is vastly known as the “month of love.” If months bear their own colors attributed to their unique specialties or highlights, when February comes, the surroundings—no matter the country, the diverse traditions, and cultures—bleed red. Not as a symbol of war and violence, but as a celebration of love.
Love is a complex and subjective concept, with no single definition that confines it to only one precise meaning. It can be interpreted and understood by each one of us differently, shaped by our own unique experiences with our loved ones. Furthermore, as love is limitless, it implies that it comes in all forms, shapes, and sizes—and romantic love is only one of its many categories. Valentine’s can be celebrated with your romantic partner, dearest friends, and family. It makes people all around the world celebrate their one common special trait: their ability to love.
AISAT ignited the Valentine’s spirit with a series of activities during their Valentine’s Week. The AISAT Supreme Student Council, driven by their genuine desire to make each occasion special for their fellow students, filled the Student Lounge with love-themed designs that truly captured the spirit of the season. This became the main venue for the week’s activities.
A karaoke section was set at the very front of the venue, allowing students to showcase their singing prowess and making the space lively and fun for everyone to enjoy. Adding to the merry and festive atmosphere, a “Valentine’s Booth Bazaar” took place, where the SSC welcomed student entrepreneurs to sell their Valentine’s-themed products. Different booths sold hand-made flowers, accessories, apparel, and sweet treats, enticing students to visit and stroll through the lounge. Not only did the students gain more gift choices for their loved ones, but the activity also helped business-minded students generate income.
They say true love does not wait to be reciprocated with any reward. Contrary to this sentiment, the SSC prepared activities and games offering prizes to students who could successfully complete challenges! Much like the pursuit of a special someone, this activity challenged students to seek out love—but this time, with a reward.
The Scavenger Hunt was a seeking game where participating students, together with a chosen partner, had to find three Baggage Tags hidden around the campus or earned by completing fun challenges. The first duo to collect all three Baggage Tags could proceed to the Baggage Claim to obtain their prize.
On the last day of Valentine’s Week, an interactive symposium titled “Conflict of Connection” was held by the AISAT Guidance Office to explore the complexities of relationships, what makes them steadfast, and to gather the audience’s insights and struggles in their own relationships. The symposium aimed to help students understand the importance of addressing their personal flaws and values to form better, more enduring bonds with their loved ones.
As a sweet finale, in their own special way, the SSC expressed their love for the students by handing out free ice cream—allowing everyone to indulge in the flavors of Valentine’s.
AISAT’s Valentine’s Week was more than just a celebration of love. It was a testament to the many forms of love that bind us together. Through fun-filled activities, interactive games, and meaningful discussions, everyone was reminded that love doesn’t only come in grand gestures—it is also found in the simplest joys of connection, friendship, and appreciation.
As the events came to a close, the echoes of laughter, the warmth of shared moments, and the sweet treats given with love lingered in the hearts of many. With every song sung, gift exchanged, and lesson learned, AISAT once again proved that love—whether for a partner, family, friend, or even for oneself—is always worth celebrating.
